Arsenal are keen to sign Rice for their manager, Mikel Arteta, this summer, and the West Ham captain has been a top target for the Gunners.

Rice led West Ham to UEFA Europa Conference League glory on Wednesday night.

The England international helped the Hammers beat Fiorentina 2-1 in the final in Prague, with the club lifting its first major trophy since 1980.

Now that Rice has concluded his campaign with West Ham on a high, Arsenal are prepared to intensify their efforts to sign him and quickly conclude a £90 million deal for the defensive midfielder.

Should West Ham accept the offer, Rice will become the most expensive signing in Arsenal’s history.

DAILY POST recalls that Nicolas Pepe remains Arsenal’s most expensive player after arriving from LOSC Lille for £72 million in 2019.

Arsenal will have to battle Manchester United and Bayern Munich, who are also interested in signing Rice.
