Bayern Munich boss, Thomas Tuchel, wants the club to capitalise on Manchester United’s struggle to agree a fee with Chelsea for midfielder Mason Mount, according to The Guardian.

Man United recently had a third and final offer for Mount rejected by Chelsea on Friday night, with their offer of £50 million plus £5m in add-ons falling short of the Blues’ £65m asking price.

While that proposal has been left on the table, Man United have effectively walked away from discussions and is now stepping up its interest in Brighton’s Moises Caicedo instead.

That has presented an opening for other clubs as Bayern Munich are already positioning themselves at the front of the queue to hijack the deal.

Tuchel remains a massive fan of Mount, who he coached during his time at Chelsea and would like to work with the England international again at Bayern.

Chelsea, by contrast, might be more willing to negotiate with Bayern Munich if it means avoiding selling Mount to a Premier League rival and they could accept a fee lower than the £65m they have asked for from Man United.
