The All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate, Mr Dan Onjeh, had filed a petition at the tribunal seeking to nullify Moro’s election.

However, the tribunal ruled that the evidence put forward by the petitioner was “weak and porous” and dismissed it accordingly.

Reacting to the development, Onjeh faulted the tribunal’s judgement, and urged his supporters to remain calm.

He said his lawyers will advise him on the next step after studying the judgement.

Onjeh said, “The election petition tribunal sitting in Makurdi has just dismissed my petition on a misconceived ground.

“For us, it is a familiar terrain; we’ve gone through it several times in the last 12 tortuous years and we’re not deterred. Our legal team will study the judgement and advise on our available options.

“However, we give thanks to God in every situation. I equally wish to thank you for your unflinching support and prayers always. May God bless you.”
