June 17, 2025 – Washington, D.C. — President Donald Trump has ordered U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to dramatically increase deportations across the country, with a sharp focus on major Democratic-led cities such as Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago.
Labeling the effort the “largest mass deportation campaign in U.S. history,” the president’s directive instructs federal agents to arrest and process up to 3,000 undocumented immigrants per day—nearly five times the current daily average. The announcement comes amid growing civil unrest and nationwide “No Kings Day” protests against Trump’s immigration and public safety policies.
