Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola has revealed that he received a message of support from legendary Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson before his side completed their historic treble on Saturday.

Guardiola’s side have now joined Manchester United to become the second English club in history to win the treble after Ferguson guided his side to the three trophies back in 1999.
Guardiola has now revealed after Saturday’s final that Ferguson got in touch with him before Man City’s win over Inter Milan.
“It is an honour for me to be alongside Sir Alex Ferguson. I got a message from him this morning. It touched me. It was nice,” Guardiola said in his post-match interview after City’s Champions League triumph.
