Auta was charged with cruelty to a child and pleaded guilty to the charges at Manchester Magistrates’ Court on May 24, 2024. However, her sentencing was delayed by a month. In the meantime, Auta was apprehended at Gatwick Airport on June 6 while attempting to board a flight to Nigeria with a one-way ticket.

The childminder later confirmed that she had not seen Joshua for several days. At the sentencing hearing, District Crown Prosecutor for CPS North West, Sara Davie, stated that Auta had failed to provide the care her baby needed and chose to leave him alone. As a nurse, Auta should have been aware of the dangers of leaving her child unattended. Davie added that Auta’s attempts to evade justice further demonstrated her lack of remorse.…..For More READ THE FULL ARTICLE HERE ▶▶
