The trio was convicted on August 20 following a trial at the same court. They had fatally stabbed 25-year-old Hamzah Iqbal in Wembley on September 24, 2023.
The court was told that Iqbal was attacked while out with friends on Olympic Way. The attackers, armed with knives and machetes and wearing masks, targeted Iqbal with brutal force, inflicting 23 knife wounds, one of which was fatal.
Despite prompt medical assistance from the London Ambulance Service and hospital staff, Iqbal could not be saved.
Detectives used extensive CCTV footage to identify and arrest the suspects. Detective Chief Inspector Mark Rogers, who led the investigation, praised the team’s thorough work and noted that the attack was premeditated, aimed solely at violence.
Rogers expressed hope that the sentence would provide some solace to Iqbal’s grieving family, stating that while nothing could undo their loss, the offenders would face significant prison time for their actions.…..For More READ THE FULL ARTICLE HERE ▶▶
