Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! However, after his agent Roberto Calenda took to social media to insist his star client has “much more to offer in Europe”, sources have told i Osimhen will wait and see what other offers come in before the transfer window closes across Europe.
Chelsea have held a long-standing interest, as have Paris Saint-Germain.
The Blues will have to sell several players to fund the move and keep within the Premier League’s Profitability and Sustainability Rules, but that should be no problem, given the likes of Ben Chilwell, Raheem Sterling, Romelu Lukaku and Trevoh Chalobah all appear to be nearing exits.
Osimhen has publicly expressed his desire to play in the Premier League on several occasions, with one source in Italy claiming he sees himself as a Didier Drogba-type figurehead for Chelsea, should he join.
PSG are also expected to return with a late offer before Friday’s deadline, given he appears to be available for much less than they considered paying earlier in the summer before deciding to pull out of the race.
Other clubs have been linked, with Arsenal and Manchester United keeping tabs on the situation, but neither are expected to make a formal offer in the coming days.

Lukaku is expected to go the other way in a move costing Napoli £30m, linking up with former Blues boss Antonio Conte once more, but the switch is delayed over image rights.
Once through, several sources indicated Chelsea will make their move for Osimhen, potentially dragging PSG with them into a bidding war.
As reported by i last week, Chelsea could also make a late attempt to bring Jadon Sancho to Stamford Bridge, with the club exploring all manner of deals, from a loan with an option to buy to a permanent switch. Reports claimed Sterling could be offered in a swap deal, but United are not understood to be interested.
Calenda took to Twitter/X to provide an update on his client’s future, which he insisted will not be in Saudi Arabia despite any offer sent to Napoli.
“Osimhen is a Napoli player, with a contract recently renewed with mutual satisfaction,” Calenda’s statement read.
“He made history and when there were major offers we always accepted the club’s decisions.
“As I said, he is not a package to be shipped far away to make room for new prophets.
“Victor was elected African footballer of the year, eighth at the Ballon d’Or, he still has so much to do in Europe. There needs to be respect and balance.”
Osimhen is said to be so against moving to Saudi Arabia that he would be willing to stay at Napoli, despite club president Aurelio De Laurentiis publicly admitting earlier this year that he “knows” the 25-year-old will leave in the summer window.
Napoli could do with shifting Osimhen to fund their own transfer business, as they also close in on a £25m deal for United’s Scott McTominay, with only details to be ironed out, and a possible option to bring Brighton’s Billy Gilmour to Italy…..For More READ THE FULL ARTICLE HERE ▶▶
