According to Vanguard, The Lagos State Police Command has taken swift action regarding a rape allegation against one of its officers. Commissioner of Police, Mr. Adegoke Fayoade, has ordered a comprehensive investigation into the matter and the arrest of the accused personnel.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, the 17-year-old victim alleged that the officer, Supol Owolabi, raped her in his office after threatening her with a gun and physically assaulting her. The victim claimed that the officer had been trying to lure her into his trap for two years.

The Police Command assures the public that there will be no cover-up and that if the officer is found guilty, he will face prosecution in accordance with police regulations and the law. The Commissioner of Police, Mr. Fayoade, has promised a thorough investigation to ensure justice is served.
