Wike: I Don’t Need Anyone’s Permission for FCT Projects

Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), asserted that beyond President Bola Tinubu, he doesn’t require anyone’s approval to initiate projects.

He made this statement during the inauguration of the N7 billion Kwaita-Yebu Road project in Kwali Area Council.

This declaration follows a dispute with FCT Senator Ireti Kingibe, who criticized Wike for undertaking infrastructural projects she claims don’t benefit FCT residents. In response, Wike remarked, “For those who are ignorant and don’t know what to say, that we are only doing roads, please let the people know that we are doing something.

“I don’t need to seek permission from anybody to tell them what projects I will embark upon. It is only the person who appointed me that I can seek such from, and that is the President. So nobody can go on air and say they are not doing schools, I don’t need to come and inform you.”
