During a live broadcast on Symfoni TV, Fubara mentioned that Wike and others would come to his house to wash cars for Mbata.

Fubara urged Mbata to disregard the disrespectful comments made about him and stay committed to doing the right thing. No matter what others think, he encouraged Mbata to keep standing up for what is true and lauded his mature mindset.
In Fubara’s words: “They were washing cars in Senator John Mbata’s house; me, I never washed cars in anybody’s house. I was a civil servant in the Treasury before I joined this thing. But today they are abusing Mbata because of his stand. Please, sir, you have a very mature mind.
