The reconciliation process came to light when Samuel Ortom openly acknowledged the discord and accepted responsibility for their actions. Reflecting on the matter, Ortom stated, “As governors, we happen to be members of the governor forum in Nigeria, and we happen to be members of the National Economic Council, and we happen to be members of the National Council of States. So, as leaders in this country who are privileged, we should be able to discuss our matters before taking it to the public, and we accept that.”

But as from today, we have learned. We’re all fallible human beings and we’re subject to mistakes, and so when we make mistakes, it is a plus for us when we correct them.”
