Senator Wadada revealed that his desire to lead Nasarawa State has been a lifelong ambition. He first declared his intention in 2019 and has since been active in the state’s political landscape.

Reflecting on his journey, he said, “I had the intention to govern the state from birth… today, God in His infinite mercy has put it in much clearer terms that I’m the most qualified for it.

Despite currently serving under the SDP, Senator Wadada’s political roots are deeply embedded in the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He played a pivotal role in the formation of the APC, particularly through his involvement with the New-PDP faction, where he served as the national financial secretary.

Addressing speculations about his potential return to the APC, he remarked, “APC is in my bone marrow… I added the needed colours and values to the merger.”

Responding to allegations of being disrespectful to political elders, Senator Wadada clarified his stance on personal rights and respect.

He stated, “I’m not a disrespectful person; I was well bred… once you trample on my rights due to certain temporal privileges you enjoyed, that is when you see the other side of me.”
