Omisakin, who was previously convicted for minor offences, was among the ex-convicts pardoned by the governor alongside others like Segun Olowookere and Sunday Morakinyo, who were sentenced to death for armed robbery and theft.

He was charged with burglary and theft under sections 411 and 390 of the Criminal Code of Osun State.
When he was arraigned on January 7, Omisakin applied for bail, but Magistrate A. Adeyeba adjourned the matter to January 10 for a ruling.
