According to Channels TV, the Director Defence Media Operations of the Armed Forces, Major General Edward Buba stated that they were eliminated during a fierce gun battle in Zamfara State. It was stated that the son of Bello Turji was killed on Fakai high ground where he was hiding alongside some other terrorists.
